Welcome to Samsula Academy

Meet the Teacher

Firday August 12th 10am - 11am

Parents/guardians, please be advised, Volusia County Schools uses Raptor as the
platform for checking guests in and out of our schools. Raptor is a visitor registration
system that enhances school security by reading the government-issued photo IDs of
visitors and comparing visitor identity information to sex offender/predator databases.
To enter our campus, ALL visitors must have a valid government-issued ID card, and it
must be scanned into the Raptor system prior to being allowed to enter the school.  For
our upcoming Meet the Teacher event, please take a moment to stop by Samsula
Academy prior to the day of the event so we may preregister you for this event. This
will help the check-in process on the day of the event go much quicker. Thank you for
helping us keep our students safe!

Our Story

Samsula Academy is part of a long and rich educational heritage. Originally established as a two-room school house in 1912, the campus grew with the community, serving as a public elementary school for 95 years. The school made the successful conversion to charter school status in 2008 and continues to deliver quality education to the community and surrounding area children. We welcome visitors and interested families to schedule a visit to our campus to learn more about our school and programs.

The vision and purpose of the Samsula Academy are to ensure that all enrolled students will begin their school careers with success, confidence, and a firm foundation in all core subjects, with particular emphasis on students’ reading abilities.
